Participants are categorised according to gender and age, which is done by showing their identity card or passport at registration.
Classification into the age categories is based on the year of birth. For example, anyone who is 16 years old or older in the year 2025 is categorised as ‘+16’.
Regardless of the number of participants, a ranking list is kept in all categories at the contests and prizes are awarded accordingly.
If the number of participants is low, categories may be combined into one heat. However, the categories will be ranked separately.
Wearing a helmet is recommended in all categories and disciplines.

Final
As a rule, there is a qualification and a final per contest. However, due to bad weather or unforeseeable delays, the results of the qualification can also lead to the final result.
Depending on the number of participants per category in the contest, the number of qualification places for the final will be determined on site.
Anyone who finishes on the podium in Zurich, Geneva and St Gallen will automatically qualify for the Swiss Championship Street Final in Winterthur (if someone finishes on the podium at several stops, the next person on the ranking list will also qualify for the Swiss Championship Finals).
